Depending on our entry point, our façade offering can vary subject to the client needs:
1. At the early RIBA Stages, our specialists provide tailored support to the project team, reduce risk and maximise value in Façade Design options. This culminates in bespoke Façade Technical Performance Specification. Our professionals form part of the integrated process developing the design to the point of viability for construction.
2. From RIBA Stage 5, our consultants can support either the client team or be engaged by the main contractor, offering compliance and quality control reviews. These reviews can extend from review and coordination of calculations and drawings to attending site to monitor the installation and whether it conforms to both design and best practice.

Iain is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Member of the Society of Façade Engineering with over 16 years of experience within the envelope sector.
With a wide range of experience working as a façade consultant as well as leading technical roles within specialist sub-contractors and manufacturers, Iain brings his extensive knowledge of the fundamental technical design, engineering and testing of the building envelope to the business to drive a holistic façade focus going beyond solely considering fire performance.

We work throughout the following seven stages.
Understand
We clarify project aims be they, statutory compliance and life safety through property and asset protection to environmental or reputational damage limitation. Our input to the project brief will help establish the ground rules.
Design
We interpret codes and standards and apply fire engineering from concept strategy, plans review and planning application to detailed design.
Specify
We assist the wider design team in setting the minimum standard and appropriate specification for active and passive fire safety systems. Asking the right questions of suppliers during bid phase and helping with selection. In this way a single focal point is created for all fire related information.
Deliver

We are on hand to witness testing on all active and passive fire systems before the building is handed over. We work with our clients to advise on the implementation of the fire safety design.
