Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced surveyor with expertise in fire assurance in an Associate or Associate director role (seniors with adequate experience should still apply).  You will act as Project Manager for a variety of project types across all sectors and regions. You will be involved in the project cycle wholly and be a technical lead at different stages of development such as design, construction, and in-use.

External wall experience would be of benefit but not necessary.

There is an opportunity to develop and manage a small team, and assist in mentoring, as well as undertaking your own surveying work.  So you should have a passion for working and developing others.

You would also be responsible for project management, assisting in writing fee proposals.   One of your tasks would be to implement assurance procedures to ensure projects run smoothy and that the quality of work is to a high standard.  The role would then be to keep developing these.

You will possess a broad range of technical competence and be comfortable in leading and managing people, work winning, project planning, performance management and reporting.

At BB7 we care about people, we care about our teams.   We care about your career and your wellbeing.  The Glasgow office is a relatively small but growing team and you have the opportunity to really make a difference.  We are based in the centre of Glasgow, with great transport links and gyms and yoga studios in our office block.

We provide flexible working and the means to do so.  We are constantly on a development to be wiser to be better.  For example; as well as the usual exciting engineering there is the opportunity to get involved in a whole range of technical committees from; ‘Site assurance’ to ‘fire strategies.’ We encourage development for contribution and for personal development.

So yes we have a good leave allowance, yes we pay competitively, have a brilliant health care system,  but we want you to join because for the intrinsic motivations.  We want to give you the opportunity to contribute, to develop but most of all to be valued and to part of something.
