Fire Engineering and Facades Consultancy Code of Conduct

At BB7, our success is built on a foundation of trust, professionalism, and absolute commitment to safety. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and standards that guide our conduct as a leading fire engineering consultancy. All employees, contractors, and representatives are expected to adhere to these principles to maintain our reputation for excellence.

Commitment to Health and Safety:
Our commitment to upholding the highest standards of Health and Safety extends to our employees and subcontractors, and others who could be affected by our work. We prioritise the well-being of all individuals who may be impacted by our operations, incorporating thorough Health and Safety processes into every facet of our work, whether within office environments or on-site projects.

We have established transparent policies and procedures designed to minimise or eliminate risks, ensuring that Health and Safety remain a paramount focus. To support our workforce, we furnish all employees with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) tailored to the specific demands of their tasks. In addition to this, we consistently conduct comprehensive training sessions and regular audits of our Health and Safety systems to guarantee ongoing effectiveness.

Our stance on Health and Safety is non-negotiable, and we approach all activities with the utmost diligence, recognising the indispensable nature of maintaining a secure and healthy working environment.

Compliance with Laws, Regulations and Standards:
We endeavour to provide the highest standards of advice relating to fire safety and facades in all our endeavours.  All members of BB7 must be aware of and have regard to relevant laws, regulations, standards, and best practices related to fire safety and façade engineering and will implement these as required in their daily duties.

We adhere to the highest standards of ethics to protect lives, property, and the environment and abide by the relevant laws and regulations that are required to conduct our business on a daily basis.

Integrity and Professionalism:
Integrity is at the core of our business. We conduct ourselves with honesty, transparency, and professionalism in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and the public. Our reports and recommendations are founded on unbiased, accurate information.

We deal with all clients and colleagues in a professional manner and treat them with dignity, courtesy, and respect in all of our interactions.

Client-Centric Approach:
We prioritise understanding and meeting the unique needs of our clients. Clear and effective communication is essential in ensuring our solutions align with their objectives. We are committed to delivering high-quality services that exceed client expectations.

We have a clear Customer Charter and Customer Service strategy which all of our employees adhere to. We aim to gain repeat work through excellent customer care.

Confidentiality and Data Security:
The protection of client information is of the utmost importance. All employees are required to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to robust data security measures which are detailed in our Data Protection policy. Sensitive information should be handled with care and disclosed only to those with a legitimate need.

Professional Competence:
BB7 has rigorous recruitment processes that ensure the professional competence of our employees.  We view continued professional development (CPD) as an essential aspect in the rapidly evolving world of Fire and Facades. Our commitment to our staff is to provide them we at least 30 hours of CPD every year, to ensure they keep up to date with industry best practices and research and to maintain and improve their levels of professional competence. We have developed our own “Learning Lounge” to facilitate this process and to demonstrate our commitment to excellence.

We are working towards B-Corp status and have a very active ESG committee who drive the business vision in this regard.

Reporting Violations:
If any employee becomes aware of a potential violation of this Code of Conduct, it is their responsibility to report it promptly to their supervisor, manager, or through the designated reporting channels. Whistleblowers will be provided with complete anonymity throughout any investigative process.

Continuous Improvement:
We are committed to continuous improvement. Feedback from clients, employees, and stakeholders is welcomed, and we actively seek ways to enhance our processes and services.

Enforcement:
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contractual relationship with BB7. Adherence to this Code is crucial for maintaining our standing as a trusted and reliable fire engineering and façade engineering consultancy.

 

This Code of Conduct is a living document, subject to periodic review and updates to ensure its continued relevance.
