At BB7 we understand that competent Fire Risk Management (FRM) is critical to the safeguarding of our client’s assets.
FRM covers fire safety within the built environment; our Fire Consultants provide integrated strategic solutions which include reviewing clients fire management at an organisational level, auditing of fire risk management systems to the British Standard 9997 of which we are technical authors and UKAS 3rd Party Accredited Fire Risk Assessments.
BB7 can act as the Assigned Certifier on any construction projects requiring a Commencement Notice with Documentation or a 7 Days Notice under Building Control Amendment Regulations (BCAR) 2014.
The Assigned Certifier’s responsibility is to coordinate the inspection roles of the design team, contractor and any sub-contractors ensuring that all works are inspected and signed-off at the agreed project milestones. We coordinate with the Client, Designers and Building Contractor to create an Inspection Plan and Inspection Notification Framework (INF) for the construction project in accordance with the Code of Practice for Inspecting and Certifying Works. We manage the online Building Control Management System (BCMS) on behalf of the Client and ensure the Local Building Control Authority are provided with all necessary certification at commencement, during and upon completion of the construction works.
On satisfactory completion of the Works and the Inspection Plan, and all necessary Ancillary Certification has been received, we submit the Certificate of Compliance (Completion) to Building Control for entry onto the Register in line with the Nominated Date of Completion.
BB7 will act as Health & Safety Design Coordinator in the capacity of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) of any construction project.
As PSDP we would meet the general duties as required for the under S.I. 291 of the Safety, Health and Welfare (Construction) Regulations 2013.
At the design stage, we will evaluate the proposals for safety, constructability, maintenance and coordinate work of designers and architects in organising design risk assessments. Prior to works commencing, we will prepare the Preliminary Health and Safety Plan for the construction of the project and assess the proposals set out by the Project Supervisor (Construction) Stage (PSCS) Health & Safety Plan. During works, we will carry out site inspections. On completion, we will compile and deliver the Safety File to the Client.
